“I spend time on building district partnerships, ensuring effective program implementation, and attempting to understand and evaluate what’s working and what’s not.  I spend lots of time writing grants, grant reports, and meeting agendas.  As the longest standing team member with UBTR, you should reach out to me with questions or ideas related to the mission, vision, and impact of UBTR, our sustainability and future development, or for information or context related to the various components of our work.”

Ashley Wiese (she/her), EdM, is the Professional Learning Coordinator.

“My work primarily focuses on supporting and strengthening coaching practices among our cadre of mentor teachers. I design and deliver the Mentor Meet-Up professional learning sessions as extensions of the New Teacher Center Coaching Institutes. I facilitate 1-on-1 in-field coaching sessions with our mentors to foster deep individual reflection of the mentor craft. In addition to mentor support, I can frequently be found engaging with UBTR alumni at induction and consortium events–doing my best to cultivate future mentors for our program. I am also the lead builder of the Integrated Social Emotional Learning (iSEL) professional learning series, in close collaboration with a team of content consultants. Let’s chat if you’re a Mentor Teacher, or Alum wanting to grow your teaching or leadership practices. “
